Discouraged by the poor choice in candidates, the election process, and the electoral college, I've not voted in many years. Having noted the concerns of others over many election cycles, I was concerned about the lack of a paper trail through an all electronic vote. It would be far too easy for hackers to disrupt an election with no PAPER TRAIL to allow a candidate to contest the results.

I was surprised and pleased to find that Dallas County had ELECTRONICALLY CREATED PAPER BALLOTS that were then fed into an electronic counter. That gave me great confidence towards the accuracy of the system. MY VOTE WOULD COUNT. The stupid fucking electoral college notwithstanding. Nicer still was the speed of the voting process. In & out in about 30 minutes. It could have been half that time had it not been for the inclusion of several BS races for judges and such like.

After having voted I began to wonder, where was the "get out the vote" effort?? You would think "that every vote counts". Therefore Republicans and Democrats alike would be going full tilt to get every registered voter to the polls. Then again Texas has never been a BATTLE GROUND STATE. My vote and others have been taken for granted. The electoral college system negates the votes of millions and allows politicians to disregard broad segments of the population.

Neither a Republican nor Democrat "get out the vote" effort visited my home. All a candidate in this state has to say is "pro-life & long live the 2nd amendment" and they are elected. In some place like California all the candidate has to say is "government handouts" and they are elected. The founders idea of protecting the voters in small, less populated states has lead to the election of feeble minded candidates in all states.

DON'T TAKE OUR VOTES FIR GRANTED ... IT'S TIME TO DUMP THE ELECTORIAL COLLEGE!!!!!

(12-04-20) addendum - Attorney General W.Barr of the Trump Administration (no less) announced that the Justice Department has found no evidence of widespread voter fraud. Meanwhile President Trump has continued his tirade over the election being rigged and instructs his Attorney General to look harder!! ... the Attorney General should tell the president if you know so much tell me where to look.

SMART PEOPLE UNDERSTAND "CHICKEN OR THE EGG" - that means dumb fucking dip-shits can make all the BASELESS accusations they want - but they have prove them to smart people - unfortunately its possible to get away with this kind of garbage with like minded people and obviously there's are a lot of them.
