Marie and I have been waiting several weeks for a kitten to be weened from its mother. The kitten was being provided thru a friend of a friend and then never happened. During wait we discussed several cat names. Mostly Italian words due to Marie's heritage. Yesterday Marie adopted a blond tabby that we named, NEKO ... after the orange tabby Maneki-Neko ... the Japanese "Lucky Cat".

The next day Marie and I continued watching the "Lost Girl" TV series for our bedtime TV. Several days ago we started season 2 where the protagonist, Bo Dennis, meets her birth mother. Meanwhile I was finding out about my birth parents through Ancestory.com and DNA Detectives. A coincidence however minor. But tonight we were watching S2E12 "Masks". This episode was in part a birthday celebration for our protagonist, Bo. Her BFF, Kensi, tapped her shady Russian cousins to deliver some disposable instant cameras for party favors instead she got a box full of "Lucky Cats" (aka. Maneki-Neko).
