I'm here to be the voice of reason and provide some insights that perhaps you haven't considered. I'm DR-KNOW aka. Todd Wheatley and if you're a Republican, I'm your man .... If you're an American, I'm your man. That also means I'm your man if you're a Democrat. Consequently I DO NOT subscribe to the tribal affliations tearing this country apart. The first primary of the 2020 presidential race takes place in just under a year and yet here we are giving it consideration. Many cycles ago it was a "let the games begin" spectacle. Now it's an endless game of thrones with a winner take all mentality and when I say ALL, I mean ALL! The idealistic system of "checks & balances" outlined by the U.S. Constitution has devolved into PAYCHECK & BANK BALANCE. A "PAY TO PLAY" system with a single hive mind. Dissent from the hive can carry stiff repercussions. Now instead of a check on power, members of congress are puppets to their donors, puppets to their party, or puppets to the president. In the case of today's Republicans it's all of the above.

Not so long ago the Republicans were a party of reason and reliability. Today there are no free thinkers. among them. It's simply lock step and salute to the commander in chief. No discussion. No dissent and as little as a sideward glance risks lampoon with a vengful TWEET. Ironically it seems hypocritical to yell "save the constitution" while eviscerating the congressional mandate and "packing the court". THINK ABOUT IT .... the constitution wasn't drafted with opposing political parties operating as a "check or balance"!! THE CONSTITUTION WAS DRAFTED WITH THE SEPARATE BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT (executive, congress, judiciary) PROVIDING "CHECKS & BALANCES" ON EACH OTHER. That means congressmen and women must have their own voice and don't get me started on the worse supreme court .... EVER! Instead our system of checks & balances has devolved into cannibalistic tribalism with a chief at the top.

All Republicans can talk about is guns, anti-abortion, transgender bathroom issues, and lower taxes. Sadly the Democrats are no better. They continually dismiss the idea of accountability and ignore the huge migrant problem at the southern border. That leaves us with two toxic extremes and no middle. Then again, it's even worse than that. It's not even about a middle road, but the shear lack of reason.

As a counter balance I intend to act as an ADVOCATE FOR THE PEOPLE in whatever capacity that may entail. Whether it's a single voice drowning in the din of rhetoric or some position of leadership up to and including the President of the United States. I've considered this move a few years after I became an INFORMATION SPECIALIST (1987). As a young man I viewed public office as a "Game of Thrones" pursuit. now I'm vested in something bigger. Something that transcends ambition. While I'm not fully abandoning a quest for office, the most eloquent expression translates as ADVOCATE OF THE PEOPLE. Be it glory or obscurity. In common, more vulgar terms: I'm seeking service as President of the United States. Though I should note, as a matter of legal significance, I am not announcing a candidacy. Per se. Instead I am offering my service as your ADVOCATE. A voice of reason in this mindless expanse of politics. With that said, I would gladly accept the job of President should a majority of Americans choose me as "write in" candidate.

I hope to have the intellectual appeal of someone like Ross Perot (1992), but mostly I'm modelling "candidacy" after Ralph Nader, the long time consumer advocate. Nader made five attempts at the U.S. presidency and was widely viewed as a spoiler for Al Gore in 2000. Even with his best showing in the year 2000 Nader never edged above the single digits and was never really considered a viable candidate. Instead he likely produced a following that wouldn't have voted otherwise. One could argue Nader was too narrowly focused and too heavily invested with environmental issues. That's how I'm different. I'm anything but narrow. I've been on top of every issue from 1987 and before. Over the years I broadened my reach .... global economy, global security, national security, border security, social security .... (hot button issues like) abortion, gun control, global warming and more .... AS AN ADVOCATE OF THE PEOPLE I WANT TO UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERNS AND HELP. ANSWERS EXIST and I will seek them out whether I'm in office or not.
