"THE ULTIMATE GAME"

RULE no.1

The easiest way to understand the ultimate game is it's parallel to the very popular TV show, the game of thrones. The biggest difference, however, is the replacement of a throne with a place in history. A great many people can sit on the throne and never occupy a place in history. While others become a part of History without ever sitting on a throne. Here to four the rules of the game have remained unwritten, but now that is about to change. First rule involves the necessity of nomenclature. On the one hand the ultimate game suggests a pastime of fun and levity. Paradoxically the highest achievers treat the game with reverence and respect. At present (Jan.2924) Donald Trump holds a commanding lead on the scoreboard even though his compliance with rule number one remains in question. Nevertheless there are numerous social media posts with Trump being portrayed as the second coming of Christ. Well he may in fact be anointed by God to lead this great nation, it's much less likely that history will treat him with the same regard.

With that said, let's return back to rule no.1 : treating the "game" with some reverence and respect. That means people who treat the game strictly as a game lack a proper respect. That could also be argued as one of the thought-provoking lessons from the TV series "Game of Thrones". From that point of view we can see a stark difference between the last two presidents born into wealth and privilege: JFK and Donald Trump. It is certainly well documented that John Kennedy enjoyed the company of women like Donald Trump. Yet he also helped the United States established dominance in the space race, peacefully resolved the Cuban Missile Crisis, and got the United States on a good footing towards civil rights. By all measures, AMERICA WAS GREAT under JFK. It was also the beginning of a momentous shift in American politics that many today refuse to acknowledge. It's also a key element in the difference between the game of thrones and the ultimate game.

Today's Republicans consistently bragged that they are the party of Lincoln. But in the 1960s John F Kennedy (JFK) and his vice president LBJ were Democrats aligned with the segregationist of the SOLID SOUTH (ie. today's Republicans). By getting the ball rolling on civil rights Kennedy drive a wedge in the party and he likely got assassinated as a result. That wedge pushed became a wholesale shift with the election of Ronald Reagan. The SOLID SOUTH re-emerged as Republican. Ultimately speaking JFK was his own man as is Donald Trump. It may well be the Donald Trump comes out as the larger figure in history than JFK, but on which side of history. JFK tried to heal wounds Trump is not only reopening them but widening them. JFK will be forever tied to the space race and bringing the United States well ahead of the world in nearly every way. One would be hard-pressed to find any equivalent accomplishment by Trump though ironically his most hardcore followers overlook his greatest accomplishment which was Operation Warp Speed that developed the vaccine for covid-19.

Anyway one can guess how history will treat Donald Trump. More than 60 years later we are still trying to evaluate JFK. So whatever happens, it takes time. Perhaps more time than any of us have. People who play the game will never know final score and any desire to keep score would likely violate rule no.1 as it does lack reverence for the process. It's actually kind of a curious thing why anyone would want to play this game and yet we do. Maybe we simply forget the rules from time to time just to have fun. As a social media influencer it's hard to ignore the keeping of score.
