I developed the list of GLOBAL STRESSORS as an addendum to my latest post on the APOCALYPSE CLOCK (3-28-22). Having studied, watched, and written about the topic, I am a believer in the DOMINO THEORY. The idea that every major historical event has "evolved" through a series of other events. Not always related to the event in question. Applying that logic, the list of GLOBAL STRESSORS are the variables used to determine the clock setting coupled with the severity of stress. Some of the stressors are decades old and could spiral out of control at any time. More recently the problem in Ukraine only spans a month, but has tremendous apocalyptic potential. The only way to determine the severity of the problem comes from comparisons to on-going problems and the wieght of history.

Using HISTORY as a baseline coupled with basic human psychology, a series of events can be projected. The amount of time it takes for events to "unfold" determines the severity and the amount to RAISE or LOWER the CLOCK SETTING. An excellent analogy towards "setting the clock" comes from the COVID-19 pandemic .... a great many of the deaths attributed to the coronavirus were people with comorbidities .... additional underlying health problems such as high blood pressure and/or diabetes that exascerbated the problems caused by COVID.

In other words, it's highly unlikely any one thing would lead to Armmageddon. Consider again, the COVID-19 pandemic. The death rate from COVID or any virus would have to be catastrophic for society to collapse as a direct result. Only a death rate over 70% would lead directly to a global apocalypse. So as scary as the coronavirus has been, it was little more than a bump in the road. And who could have predicted the ridiculously steep v-shaped recovery in the U.S. economy. Not to mention the crazy upswing of the stock market. Though unpredictable it was nothing short of a godsend .... some strength in the face of certain doom.

Anyone considering entry into the ULTIMATE GAME should know and understand the details involved with this list and give quick and easy account. Oddly, the first and last items on the list were something of an afterthought, but really the most concerning. So my numbering quirk (use of zero) continues to show its value. As an afterthought, GOVERNMENT DEBT should be our highest concern as we pledge evermore military assistance to Ukraine. The added debt brought on by the pandemic is being compounded by the war. Strain on the U.S. economy has taken root with INFLATION.

Now factor in the bitter partisan divide .... could the United States be heading towards becoming a FAILED STATE? The January 6th insurrection certainly points in that direction. Unfortunately for the globe, that is one of those "TOO BIG TO FAIL" senarios. If the U.S. fails, the globe would likely fail. Right now, that distinction sits with Russia. They are sprinting towards the precipice. Soon it may be GAME OVER before I get a chance to make a meaningful play.
