Words from the title song say it all in this ACTION - ROMANCE: "There's nothing like the life of a Hollywood stunt man".

This movie again pairs Burt Reynolds with Sally Fields a year after their smash hit "Smokey and the Bandit". This time there's less interplay between the two and more action, if that is even possible.

The younger generation will have a hard time relating to the aggravation of a 55MPH speed limit and not see 80MPH as excessively fast. That makes "Hooper" the better of the two films. From the "family" perspective, both are rated PG, however a quick topless flash and excessive alcohol consumption in "Hooper" makes "Smokey" better for younger viewers.
