As this mismatched rivalry builds, WHO WILL GET "THE GIRL" (Jane Craig - Holly Hunter)?? The more visually attractive, but not so intelligent Tom. Or best friend, Arron, who knows her well enough for this particular shorthand ...

Arron Altman (Albert Brooks) : "I'll meet you at the place, by the thing, by the thing near the place, where we met that time."

RATED R ??? what for one minor sex scene with no nudity? Little if any profanity. Very limited sex talk == PG! It's likely the producers wanted the R rating regardless of content to get a larger audience.
