"1999 was the year the Indian nuclear satellite went out of control. No one knew where it might land. It soared
above the ozone layer like a lethal bird of prey ..." (first line of the movie)
The millennium (Y2K) apocalypse hysteria was transformed into a potential nuclear apocalypse. The resulting
chaos, however, provides a limited window for romance to flourish. Once that window closes people must
deal with the day to day issues.
This movie features good cinematography and interesting locations. As a view of the FUTURE, the computer
technology was advanced way beyond the eight year difference between the release of the movie and time period
portrayed. The opening scene is in French, but moves quickly to English.
One of my favorites!
