Imagine that you wake up one day and you're not yourself. In fact you don't know who you are,
where you are, or anything. To make matters worse, there's a dead woman in your room.
It seems that someone has been going around killing prostitutes. A Jack the Ripper of sorts and
vague memories point to you. This is the backdrop to a murder mystery that takes a turn to the
surreal when everyone falls asleep at the same time and the city begins to change.
The male lead, Rufus Sewell, follows clues to discover the truth about his past, the truth
about himself, and the truth about the people in the DARK CITY. Turns out that John Murdoch
(Sewell) has more people after him than just the police.
The new detective on the case (Hurt) encounters his own mysteries while bringing the killer to
justice. As John nears the end of the trail, Inspector Bumstead (Hurt) and Dr. Schrebe (Keefer
Sullivan) help him discover that he is the murderer ... kind of.
