Upcoming actor Sam Worthington plays an Australian soldier returning home from Vietnam. Upon landing Worthington gets recruited by his uncle (Bryan Brown), a hard as nails gangster, to help with a small-town gambling operation on the edge of the Outback. The trouble comes when Worthington is asked to "babysit" his uncles young girlfriend.
