A man with dual French-American citizenship goes back to the States to claim the body of his dead mother for burial in France. The Frenchman is jaded and highly emotional with feelings of abandonment 30 years earlier. His mother, however, cannot attend to those feelings. So he goes to Tijuana, Mexico seeking answers from an acquaintance of his mother - a prostitute - Selma Hyak who still looks great.
